We are a Dutch couple (Netherlands) and had a three weeks’ vacation traveling the South of the States. The trip from Jackson to Natchez took us through typically southern sceneries, the ones we only know from movies. It was sizzling hot but so beautiful. Those small roads over the green hills. We love it. There is still so much space... more

Stayed at Monmouth for weekend during Fall Pilgrimage. Breakfast was a disaster. We were told that there was a "funeral group"(?) so it was crowded. Only two people working the breakfast room however the owners were there visiting with some of the tables. It took at least 20 mins for our order to be taken and then 10 mins more... more

Just returned from a 3 night stay at beautiful Monmouth Plantation and had a wonderful time. Stayed in the main house of the antebellum home and it was like stepping back in time. Although, now there is air conditioning and a modern bathroom. Very nice and we will definitely return. more

My wife and I had never stayed at a Bed @ Breakfast before so we were a little in the dark on the best place to stay in the Natchez, MS area. Monmouth web page caught my attention. The home and the grounds were beautifull and the staff were the best. From the time we pulled up, Hal met us... more

WOW!!! I was blown away by this place. My wife and three daughters needed a place to stay last weekend because of Hurricane Ike. I googled Natchez, MS hotels and called Monmouth on a whim, assuming there would not be any rooms available. To my surprise, they had just what I was looking for: a two-room cottage. I had no... more

when I was a girl, just after WW II, my father Wilhelm Quitmann told me about the general and politician John Anthony Quitman, who lived at that time100 years ago in Natchez in a beautiful mansion and who was a relative of our Quitmann family. Since then it was my dream to see his home, which is today one of... more

Once you see the Hotel on their web sight you will fall in love with it and it is just as perfect when you get there. We stayed in one of the Antebellum rooms, with... more

Simply one of the most beautiful places my wife and i have ever stayed in. We used one of the suites, which was really well furnished The hotel grounds are stunning in summer, the staff are super helpful. If in Natchez, you must look at staying here. A pleasure. In town, the the Pig Out (as recommended by the hotel... more

Monmouth Plantation is a beautiful and relaxing bed and breakfast. From the moment we arrived the staff was there to show us around and provided incredible service. They always had a smile for you. The cottage was beautifully decorated and spotless. The food is plentiful and delicous. There is a cocktail hour before you are called in for dinner. Dinner... more

We have just visited Monmouth Plantation for 4 days. It felt like royalty. The hotel embraces so much of the history of Natchez that it gives you a feeling of stepping back in time. The room exerted an opulent atmosphere of graciousness with its authentic pieces of furniture. It combined heritage with modern convenience. Sleeping in a canopy bed in... more
