I stayed at the Grand Wailea for business for a week. I work in the travel industry and was not impressed with this hotel. While it does boast a fantastic pool and luscious tropical landscaping, it is desperately in need of a serious renovation and could use a little kick in the pants when it comes to servicing groups. The... more

My wife and I stayed in the Napua Tower Club section of the resort during our recent week long vacation. The Napua Tower is an "elite" level of rooms with the requisite bump to an already substantial price. The rooms were spacious, clean (with the two notable exceptions) and had good views of the garden area, pools and ocean. The... more

We have stayed at the Grand Wailea 'off-and-on' for the past 10 years, but not since the Hilton acquired the property. I must say, that we were very pleased with the change. The front desk staff seemed much more attentive than in the past. The concierge service has been 'beefed-up'. The little 'personal items' that one would expect in a... more

I feel it helps to know who is writing a review, so others can judge if they are looking for the same things: we are in our late 40s, like luxury, good food, clean facilities and top service. If we are paying a top price, we expect the best. We spent 7 nights (April 13-20) at the GW with 2... more

This place was so amazing. It was royal paradise. Everything was first class, even the beach! I HIGHLY recommend it. We went during labor day week and it was still fabulous. we didn't take our kids buts I saw parents with kids and they didn't seem out of place. I will definitely go again, probably with the kids next time-... more

This hotel claims to be 5 star and its the worst experience we have ever had at a resort of this rating. It started with the hotel not getting us into our room until 6:30PM when we arrived at the hotel at 2PM. They told us to sit in the lobby and our room would be ready in 30 minutes.... more

I knew the Grand Wailea would be nice - but it exceeded my expectations. Everything from check in to the kids camp - day and evening, to the pools, to the rooms. to the grounds and the food was excellent. The grounds are absolutely wonderful - both inside and out. Our friends children loved the day and evening kids camp... more

ithout a doubt a fabulous place to stay on a vacation to Maui. I can honestly say after spending a week there that I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Maui. We have 4 children ages 5 to 13 and they had a blast there. The pool complex is the envy of any resort, nothing on the island comes close.... more

This resort has gone downhill (hotel room wise, that is), ever since new management took it over several years ago. The Front Desk staff was just doing their job, and took no effort to make you feel welcome or at home. Their adult pool was littered with screaming kids, all of which seemed to have been dumped there by their... more
