The Water Street is about location, location, location. You're only about 3 blocks from beginning to explore all of what downtown Santa Fe has to offer. There are also 3 restaurants and a bar within spitting distance. We stayed in the Jemez room which is in the 'new building'. It was quiet, cozy, comfortable, and nicely furnished. No complaints there.... more

We stayed at the Water Street Inn for the third time, this time with friends who booked two other rooms at the Inn. I think this time was the best experience, although each time we have stayed there has been memorable. We stayed in the Galisteo Suite which was very romantic, with a wonderful private patio and waterfall of our... more

We travel a great deal for business and stay in chain hotels chosen by our clients, so when we travel for leisure, we much prefer small inns and B&Bs. Water Street Inn is clearly one of the most delightful we've ever stayed in. Great location, walking distance to restaurants, shops, galleries. Very comfortable accommodations - only wish it had been... more

Our stay at the Water Street Inn could not have been better! The innkeeper checking us in was friendly and helpful. Room 7 is absolutely wonderful, well appointed, spacious and welcoming. The jetted tub in a large bathroom was a great touch. With our own balcony and staircase to the street it felt as if we had a private apartment... more

This was the first time I'd stayed at Water Street Inn in over three years. I wondered if I had built it up in my mind, but I was once again ever so pleasantly greeted, welcomed, and made to feel right at home (only without the clutter of my own home!) I was running late, so they saved some homemade... more

We just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in Santa Fe and the Water Street Inn was one of the highlights of our visit. Our room (the Galisteo Suite) was delightful, with both a sun room and a patio complete with fountain. Not only was the staff friendly and helpful, but the service and food was excellent. Afternoon appetizers were... more

Waterstreet Inn seems to be renovated from a motel/hotel-- (small) spaces with attractive decor, tiny bathrooms, working fireplaces with plenty of wood. There are cookies delivered to your room and a happy hour....but somehow, the place lacks the personality and warmth that its website and previsit letters infer. The hired staff are atuned to good service, but the sense of... more

Although most of the employees were pleasant enough, we had several negative experiences that colored our stay at The Water Street Inn. When we were given the tour at checkin, we were informed that our room key would open up the kitchen where one could rent movies, get a snack, etc. in the evening. Wrong - you need to make... more

The rooms at the Water Street Inn are absolutely wonderful! We were greeted by our hostess and given an intro tour of the facilities. Unfortunatly, our room had two views: the parking lot and the street. For the $200+ a night fee we were expecting a hot breakfast, but instead were offered a Continental Style carbo-diet . Bagels, muffins, and... more
