The Guadalupe Inn in Santa Fe is by no means a straightforward, all-great-or-all-bad, proposition. My friend and I just spent a wonderful week in New Mexico, and on balance, our five nights at Guadalupe Inn were very much a part of the good times. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, but there’s room for improvement. First, the location and... more

Our room was really a closet posing as a room. Breakfast was served in very odd room and had to be "ordered" and when it was arrived was no better than a Dennys. Way too much money for what actually is. Don't try and get ice - they give you a few dozen pieces at a time from the ice... more

After an extensive search of online and guidebook reviews, I selected the Guadalupe Inn for a much-needed midWinter weeklong retreat. We were absolutely delighted with the incredible combination of hospitality, cleanliness, affordability and LOCATION, location, location! The morning breakfast offerings included cereals, fresh fruits, baked goodies and hearty egg selections. The homemade chile sauce on the Huevos Rancheros caused me... more

October 28, 2007 A visitor from Pittsburgh If you're looking for comfortable but not fancy bed and breakfast odging in the heart of old Santa Fe, consider the Guadalupe Inn. It is run by two sisters, Henrietta and Dolores, and if you're lucky, you may get to meet their 94-year old mother. The atmosphere is homey and friendly, and the... more

I organize literary tours, always looking for characteristic, well-located accommodation. We took over the entire inn and were utterly delighted with the the facilities and, above all, with the warm and informative attention by sisters Henrietta and Delores Quintana and with their wonderful 94-year old mother, neice and great neice and great nephew. The inn is in the oldest part... more

The innkeepers were sweet as pie, but that didn't make up for a sub-standard room in a not-great location. On the good side: The hotel was very clean. The breakfasts were hot and cooked to order (the quality of the food wasn't great, but it wasn't bad), and as I mentioned, the innkeepers were fantastically nice and charming - they... more

This B&B is a wonderful way to experience Santa Fe and the people who have lived here for generations. The Quintana sisters are warm, knowledgable hosts with a gift for connecting people. Breakfasts are fabulous. Rooms are comfortable and several have patios and kiva fireplaces. I liked being on the east side of Santa Fe, a little away from the... more

We loved the location, the price, and the very friendly owners, who were great for nearby restaurant recommendations, and made a good breakfast. more

This inn is set back off a quiet, peaceful neighborhood street, giving you a feeling of seclusion, but it's an easy, short walk to the Plaza from here. We absolutely fell in love with the innkeepers, sisters Delores and Henrietta, and their mother -- a sweet, warm family with a marvelous sense of humor and deep roots in Santa Fe.... more

While not "on the Plaza", this B&B is close enough for walking and for getting a feel of a historic part of the city. The B&B itself is decorated in the true "Santa Fe" sense with carved headboards, furniture, tin work and really warm tiled floors. The owners are truly knowledgable about the area and it's history. Enjoy a breakfast... more
