My boyfriend and I decided to take a drive up to Newport for the weekend. It was our first visit there and after a lot of searching and reading many positive reviews we decided on the La Farge Perry House. The house is located on a quiet street very close to many shops and restaurants. As with many of the... more

We arrived early, 1 pm. Midge the Inn keeper and her sheltie sidekick (Jack) greeted us with open arms. The beautiful home with high ceilings is bright and cheery. All the rooms are lovely and very inviting. The Inn has three floors with guest rooms on all three floors. We stayed in the Master Suite, A huge bedroom with fireplace and... more

The inn was lovely and we very much enjoyed our 3 day stay. The room was very spacious and well appointed. Breakfasts were cooked to order and very good but not particularly inventive. My main criticism was that the temperature varied from cold to hot and we were not able to adjust it without calling the innkeeper. After 2 times,... more

Midge, the Innkeeper, runs a great ship. Top drawer chef in her own right, breakfast is always a treat. We had to leave very early our last day so she fized us muffins to go. Welcoming, sparkling, quiet and close to the town action. If you don't stay here, you will have settled for something lesser than the best. more

My husband and I recently spent 5 days in Newport. He had researched a lot of b&b's before we left, and found the LaFarge Perry House to have a bunch of great reviews. And boy, did it live up to the hype! The place is amazing, within walking distance to town, and the innkeeper, Midge, is the best! So friendly,... more

My friends and I just returned from a wonderful four day stay at the LaFarge Perry House. The house was warm, immaculately clean, beautifully designed and decorated. It is located in a charming, tree lined, quiet neighborhood, in easy walking distance of the harbor, downtown shops and just a few minutes from the mansions and the Cliff Walk. None of... more

My wife, Faith, and I absolutely enjoyed ou stay at the LaFarge House. We found Midge, our Innkeeper, to be the most ideal and perfect hostess.........always there and available but not visable. She made our stay so special and wonderful. We celebrated our birthdays and could not have asked for a more perfect setting, location and hostess. more

The best experience I ever had at a B&B. We went there during the Jazz festival, and it was convenient enough to walk into town and take the ferry over to the festival. No need to drive through downtown, and it was great that it has parking for all the guests. more

We just got back from a one night stay at The La Farge Perry House in Newport for a quick getaway for our anniversary. We stayed in the John La Farge room downstairs. The room was beautiful and the bathroom is huge with a two person jacuzzi. Midge is very nice and makes you feel at home, and Jax the... more

We just returned from a wonderful three night stay at the La Farge Perry House. We were in the Matthew Perry room on the third floor-the room had a great view of the Newport Bridge-it was beautiful at night with all the lights. Our room was a nice size and the bath was nice-I loved the bath salts. The breakfasts... more
