Great location on the Moors. Excellents hosts Excellent food - don't be fooled by the menu in the bedroom - the actual menu is more extensive. Only downside was that the room needed redecortion. Wall paper very dated and stained, bathroom ceiling needs attention as does the grouting. more

What a terrible experience, from check-in to check-out, we waited an hour after arriving. Hotel was closed . Rooms were shabby, menu over-priced, bar had no atmosphere. Would return to the village but not the hotel. more

We stayed here for one night on our way back from a wedding in Gretna Green as it was close by to some things we wanted to see / do.
