Lunch at the 'Mitsitam' cafe is excellent and adds to the experience of the Museum of the American Indian. Way above any museum cafe we have experienced anywhere. more

We had heard this was the best place to eat in a Smithsonian museum & they were right. It had LOTS of choices and the food was really good. It was expensive for what it was, but I would eat there again to have so many choices and really good food. more
My favorite place to eat in DC. The menu is constantly changing and offering unusual ingredients and combinations that always a joy for the palate. The fry-bread is a comfort-food favorite, but crawfish-balls I had last time I went were to die for. more
I was excited to bring a group of high schoolers to try some new foods, and was delighted at the ease of purchasing some group meal vouchers. Best Museum Cafe on the Mall! It was great! Had the lamb shank and Honey + Cinnamon Fry Bread, and Mussels with pinenuts and butter parsley and it was delicious! Not your typical crowded noisy museum cafe with crappy hamburger. Officially my fave museum cafe! more
