We're originally from Downey. We moved to PA over 25 years ago We went back to visit family in 2000 and have gone back every year since and always stop at El Taco and get lots of Chili Rellenos burritos!! Best in the US. Sadly PA has no real mexican food. Downey is so lucky to have El Taco!!! more

El Taco has THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! The cheese quesadillas are to die for! I went down there from portland, or on a plane JUST FOR EL TACO! Call me a loser but you would want to join if you tried it! El Taco needs expansion!!! more

I too grew up in Downey and El Taco was definately the place to eat! Their cheese quesadilla's are SO YUMMY! And their beef taquitos, with sour cream and guacamole and cheese are the best taquitos I have ever had ANYWHERE! It is very small, but the food and price can't be beat! They have REALLY GOOD Dr. Pepper too! more

El Taco has the BEST Mexican food I've ever eaten. I grew up in Downey, but moved away 16 years ago to AZ. Every year I visit CA, bring my ice chest, and load up on the food from El Taco. I have not found anything better! more
