My wife and I arrived at Sally's at 4:40pm on a Sunday. The restaurant opened its doors at 5:05pm for the customers who made reservations. My brother prefers Sally's to Pepe's. It's a nice choice to have to make. They're both outstanding. I don't care which NYC pizza place you think is "the best" (and don't even try to submit Regina in Boston as a contender) Pepe's and Sally's are tops in my book. more

Absolutely, No one can beat out this pizza, (a second close is Pepe's). Besides in Italy, I have never found a pizza that just makes your mouth water with delight the minute you step foot in front of the door, where you will stand in line for a while (and it's worth it, trust me)...eat a brickoven, thin crust, whole... more

Nothing tastes better than a Sally's pie with mozz. All the idiots complaining about the wait: It's worth it. The place is small, so deal with it. This is without a doubt the best pizza I've ever tasted. more

The pie was good the staff rude. You wait for an hour outside and then another hour inside while they wait on their " reservations". I would never eat there again. Oh, and the floor was filthy and the furniture must be original frm 80 years ago. just awful more

If you like burnt pizza and one hour waits go here. Otherwise stick to Pepe's or Modern. more
