For Raleighites who knew the orignial, the true Poole's Diner this experiment is a sad insult to a formerly great restaurant. Poole's Diner was a truly wonderful combination of old school charm coupled with amazing, creative dishes. If you like chain restaurants this is not your place. Food was incredible as was the service. Wine and beer menu also was perfect. Went with my wife and sat at the bar. Will go back again! more
I had an excellent meal there! But had to wait about 45 minutes for the food to come out. This is definitely not a fast food joint. more
Love the food since Ashley took over. Had chicken liver app. and venison for an entree - superb. Be back there again soon. more

Went on a night they seemed overwhelmed. Waited over an hour to get my food and the two others I was seated with waited another 15- 20 minutes which would have been fine if it was really worth the wait. A small plate of pot roast and a small side of greens were $18. The menu is on 3 blackboards... more
Under new ownership/management. Love Ashley's new menu. Hope to get in there this weekend and try some of the bar concoctions. more
