In an unusual location, this proved a real winner. Reservation was handled well and we were seated immediately on arrival. Attentive and seemingly knowledgeable service. The menu is rather complicated but the food more straight-forward. Sweetbreads were particularly good and cooked to perfection. Good winelist. Fairly expensive but well worthwhile. We will return. more

we weren't overwhelmed by anything but the noise. The food was pretty good but not great with small imperfections throughout. Finally tried Paley's after reading about it in Portland Monthly's annual top restaurant ratings. Servers appear to be on acid, but the food is always top notch. Any entree on the menu can be ordered as a "half" order, which is cool because it gives you the option of eating tapas style or hoarding a main dish all to your self. more
