Stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. First, very limited breakfast menu: Eggs, breakfast meats, grits, biscuits & gravy, and pancakes. If you are not a breakfast person (my husband is not), you're limited to a garden salad. Second, the place cannot cook eggs! I asked for mine over medium; I got over easy. We watched as a customer... more

Limited menu but the itmes are the best in town. The brunswick stew is great and so are the ham biscuits. Home made pies like your "granny" made. If your into antique shopping, you can do this while you wait to be seated. more

As a native Virginian, it embarrasses me to admit that I had never visited the Old Chickahominy House in Williamsburg until this past week. The food was out of this world good - and ORIGINAL, not pre-prepared and run-of-the-mill like you find in chain restaurants. This is the real deal. The flat, rectangular biscuits are REAL biscuits - not made... more

We had breakfast at the Old Chickahominy House while in Williamsburg for vacation. It was great southern food! The biscuits were wonderful as were the grits. My husband had the pancakes and liked them too. I will eat here again if I ever make it back to Williamsburg. My mouth starts watering just thinking of the great breakfast we had... more

Having just moved to Williamsburg, & with some friends in town, we decided to test the reputation of the Old Chickahominy's blueberry pancakes. Excellent! The pancakes were terrific (thick, fluffy, & wrapped around yummy blueberry filling) the biscuits are another must have. Physically resembling pop-tarts the flat rectangular biscuits are butter and flaky. The prices were very good (2 eggs... more

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at the Old Chickahominy House on July 20, 2008. I had read the reviews here before we went and almost did not eat here because of some of the reviews that we read. We just had to write our own review because our experience there was so wonderful! The restaurant was very... more

We had lunch at this restaurant Fridaty -7/25/08. We chose that restaurant due to TA reviewer's. I live in VA Beach and my friend lives in Richmond so we're basically locals - Please don't go to this restaurant. The menu is very limited. Most people order one of their two specials due to the price. They amount to two "bisquits"... more

With all the really great restaurants in Williamsburg, skip this one. The "fruit salad" was a slice of canned pineapple with mayo on a lettuce leaf. The biscuts - more like flat bread - were dry. The chocolate pie had a taste I can't even identify. more

Chickamominy House has always been a favorite place especially to bring out of town guests. Their ham biscuits are all that and more. The staff is older and somewhat set in their ways. Think Seinfields "Soup Nazi" but the food is well worth it. more
