Located behind the Raleigh Tavern this is a great place to grab a Colonial gingerbread cookie or cake and some cider etc. Don't miss it at Colonial Williamsburg. My wife cannot pass this place up.. more

Raleigh Tavern and Bake shop was a great place to stop for a snack. Very reasonable. The ginger cakes, Queen's cake and apple cider were delicious and priced very, very well. I would not plan my breakfast there, even though they had a ham and biscuit sandwich where you could add cheese. We bought our items daily and had them... more

This little shop was my favorite dining spot in Colonial Williamsburg. It serves colonial baked goods such as Sally Lunn bread, cookies (called cakes), ginger cakes, apple spice cake, etc. They also sell a variety of different food stuffs marketed by Colonial Williamsburg as souvenirs. I had an apple pasty (turnover) for breakfast one late morning and it was incredibly... more

We just got back from our first visit to Colonial Williamsburg, and we snacked here at Raleigh Tavern Bakeshop several times. On our first stop here, my husband asked what the apple crumble cake was - he was told it was not like what we think of when we think of a present-day crumb cake and that it was good.... more

I live in Williamsburg and I love this little shop. It is tucked away and a nice place to get breads, cider, lemonade, etc. And it is reasonably price. Try the ginger cakes or tavern rolls. Excellent. more

WE stopped in at the bakery while visiting and I had a really good walnut brownie and DH had an appleturnerover that he said was very good. The hot cider was just what we needed on a brisk day. more

I am a "very long time visitor" of the Colonial Williamsburg area ... my first visit was in November 1969 ... and I come back every chance I get, which is either once every year or eighteen months (I live in Texas). The Bake Shop has a large selection of items ... Sally Lunn bread, cookies, gingerbread "cakes" (I call... more

We just got back from a CW trip and I frequented the Raleigh Tavern Bakeshop a couple days. I loved the gingerbread cakes and Tavern Lemonade. I'm craving them both as I write this review!! The bakeshop is very cute and has a huge variety of baked goods and drinks. The prices are reasonable and the apple cider was only... more
