Although it looks like the reviews have been 50/50 for this restaurant, we really enjoyed it! Our waiter was awesome, really knowledgeable and attentive. My husband loved his salmon and although my seafood wasn't the best I'd ever had, it was still fresh and cooked perfectly! Had a nice dinner there. more

Our nice hotel booked us a table at this popular tourist restaurant. After waiting over 10 minutes for our table we were shown a table for two around a pole near the kitchen. We requested another table - after all we had booked in advance - and after a further wait we were given a table with a view. A... more

We stopped in for lunch, to take a break from the crowds, wind outside, what a disappointment! Service was good, we got a seat overlooking the pier. But the food quality was poor: My husband ordered fish & chips and got two very small pieces; I ordered mussels marinara and they were very small, I've gotten bigger and tastier ones... more

Ok great view but thats it. Over priced and poor quality. The whole place including the food is stuck in the 70's, seriously do not recommend this place! more

Grossly overpriced for below average seafood. Made the mistake of going twice, not worth it either time. more

They offer with a great view of the harbor and fine dining. So the restaurant is almost empty with the exception of all the window seats being full except 2 tables. So i ask to have a window seat. they say no and try to sell me on the idea that 4 rows back is just as good. So its... more

Jeez...you think the Alioto family could do better than this..I mean many of the family are great folk but they need to make the place more "people friendly." i understand the tourist thing, but its just not up to SF par. Ms. Traci more

Had reservations for 7pm on Saturday evening on the basis of a hotel concierge recommendation (in fairness on the basis of the view). As we arrived, the reception area was very crowded with walk-ins, I spoke with a member of staff, who informed me to speak with the man-in-charge. He ticked us off against our reservation and told us it... more

Very enjoyable meal at Alioto's. Good service, Sicilian twist on local seafood. Waitress offered good advice on the menu and wine. Can't fault it. more
