Early Girl brunch is a must when we're in Asheville. The food has always been perfect and they offer vegetarian options that are hard to find elsewhere such as vegetarian biscuits and gravy and home made soy sausage. We have brought many friends to Early Girl for the first time and they have all been thrilled with the experience. I'm... more

We enjoyed an "authentic" breakfast at the Early Girl. We just had egg and cheese biscuits, but they were yummy and filling. The specials on the board all looked delicious. The atmosphere was probably the main plus, it didn't feel like a tourist trap. There was already a crowd just after opening at 9AM, so my girlfriend and I elected... more

As we waited for an hour to be seated, we watched customers leave with smiles on their faces, thanking the EGE staff, and speaking amongst themselves about how happy they were with their experience. This made our wait somewhat less painful - plus we had purchased some hot beverages from A Far Away Place Coffee Shop around the corner. Finally... more

Highly recommended if you're going to be in Asheville! Busy, but worth the wait for Saturday brunch/lunch. Hearty, healthy, locally-sourced farm-to-table stuff. Eggs benedict with spinach, tomatoes and incredible country ham over grits cakes. Mmmm. more

We went to Early Girl for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was a hour before we got seated and then almost another hour before we got our food. The staff acted like they simply did not care. It might have been worth the wait if the food had been good enough but it was nothing to brag about. On... more

I agree with several reviews , the food is OK , some misses ( vegan pumpkin soup was horid , but I'm no vegan maybe they like it ?) some hits, meatloaf with tomato gravy was very good. I had sweet potatoes and asparagus as sides, taters were bland , not any seasoning. There were 2 things far worse than... more

We were passing through Asheville on a road trip and a local recommended them for breakfast. Here is my assessment; The food was good. We had the blackberry pancakes which were tasty, but a little bit tough. The sausage (locally made) was good and had a distinctive taste, which I liked. The service was respectable. This cafe is located in... more

We went there to eat dinner on Sunday and the food was so good and service was excellent. It's a "Gourmet Southern" kind of food to me. We'll definitely go back. more

We decided upon Early Girl Eatery for the final brunch of our trip. This restaurant prides itself on the local flair and homegrown ingredients. For me the atmosphere was a little too urban and almost came across unkept. My wife had their version of an Eggs Benedict which was original and was a large portion. I opted for a burger... more
