We shared a appetizer and sandwich for lunch after doing Yorktown. We had a great view on a beautiful day. We never felt rushed and enjoyed ourselves just relaxing by the water. The prices were fair on both the food and drinks. A few days later, we were trying to figure out where to eat dinner (we hadn't been impressed... more
We had a very nice relaxing Sunday Brunch here. A little disappointed at the menu = hoping for Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary, but instead had ham and brie sandwich on delicious bread. Very pretty view of the James River and Bridge. Fun to people-watch promenaders and shoppers. Good strong coffee and chocolate dessert !!! more
Visited there last Saturday Night. Should have known..there were only 2 other tables occupied in the place. The table where we were seated was wonderful, the room is lovely, lighting is nice. The menu just doesn't appeal! I had a salad with 2 bites of salmon (very tasty) on a huge plate of lettuce. My husband had scallops (smallest scallops... more
My husband and I recently ate here just to have a nice night out. The food was excellent, the service was great, and we paid less than many other places we go for a nice night out. We will definitely go back. more

Two... more

We decided to eat in the more casual Rivah Cafe side of the restaurant rather than the actual restaurant side. We were seated quickly, but it all went downhill... more
Trying to capitalize on a wonderful seafood restuarant which has now been torn down, the Nicks Riverwalk is not even close to the old Nicks in Yorktown. The food was not even edible. I ordered a cheesburger and found pieces of fat in the shape of little balls which I couldnt swallow....I spit them out and couldnt finish the burger...my... more
Restaurant was closed between lunch and dinner, so we were seated in the cafe. I found the menu to be limited. Server was nice but that didn't seem genuine. High prices. Burger was overcooked, but flavors were excellent. more
We had lunch at the Rivah Cafe. (You check in at the same desk as the main restaurant, but the menu is about half the cost.) It was excellent. We sat on the terrace, which was a touch warm on a humid, hot, June afternoon, but we didn't want to wait for an inside table, and the view was great,... more
