The food is always excellent. I'll say that much. The hosts and waitstaff are WAYYYY hit or miss; we've had some terrible experiences here. I recently had my second visit to El Vez. Both times I was there with friends during the week. Even on a Tuesday night, the place can get packed, so I suggest making a reservation ... or, you can always wait at the bar and enjoy some of their yummy margaritas while you wait for a table !
