Hello, I put this out once and only got 2 responses...I was really hoping to hear from more readers than that:( I hope you will please respond, your opinion matters to me:)

Anyway, we are traveling to DR in Jan. 09', which hotel would you recommend from either of these. We are currently booked at the Iberostar, but might possibly change. I have been reading the reviews on both, and at the Iberostar there have been several people getting sick and that concerns me. We are traveling with 2 other couples all in our 30's 40's & 50's. We love to drink and have a great time, snorkel, sit on the beach with drink in hand, stuff to do at the resort (during day & eve.). We like to go do things too, tours, ect... Not sure which hotel suits us, but please let me know your thoughts and if you have been to either of these properties.

I have stayed at the Riu Palace Macoa and loved it!! Food was great especially the buffet which is unusual for an AI. resort . I am staying at the Iberostar Bavaro in Oct. I have stayed at several Iberostars and have always loved them so I don't anticipate any problems . I don't think you will have a problem at either resort.

There is a bar resteurant at the Rui with an incredible ocean view that is a must in the afternoon for drinks and just to view the ocean!!
