Hotel to Antara Polanco |

Safe yes, it would take you I would say 20 to 25 minutes. You would walk towards Masaryk, take Masaryk in the direction of Periferico and then turn right on to Moliere and go 4 more blocks to Ejercito Nacional. If you are going to see a client, take a taxi. Even if you hire an expensive tourist taxi, I cannot imagine you would pay more than 100 pesos or US$10. When you leave Antara, if you leave on Moliere side (near the sort of outdoor theatre by the Sony Store and Casa Palacio)rather than the main door, you will see the Soriana (formerly Gigante) parking lot in front. There is a sitio taxi stand there close to the Toks restaurant (or just ask your client to call a taxi for you.)

thank you-thats helpful-I will stick with the cab and perhaps walk back if it is nice- I am actually going to see Casa Palacio- Would the above hotels be best for this location?

The area's considered safe to wander about. Before that shopping center/commercial center was built I taught classes at the General Motors plant that once inhabited that site. I suggest taking a taxi from your hotel, because it'll be a long walk and you don't want to arrive sweaty and with rumpled clothing - not when visiting a client. Walk back to the hotel, if you want - it's a nice walk and interesting to see the neighborhood . . . one of the city's most upscale. Here's a link to Antara Polanco's website, which has an English-language section, a map of the area, directions on how to get to/from, etc., etc.:

Glad the reply was useful. The W and JW Marriott are equally fine for business and at best location for your destination. Also along the Polanco hotel strip are the Nikko and Presidente Intercontinental, which are another block or two further.

Rather than spam and advertise yourself on the forum why not try to provide, first, an answer to the question being asked? Link your blog at the end of your answer, if you want - but posting only advertisements for yourself isn't what people will wnat to read, IMO. Nice start to the blog - keep it going.
