I have a feeling it's like a motel on the south end of the city near the 401 expressway. Or it could be this which is closer to downtown but with very mixed reviews:

If what you want is downtown, and at least a 3* then I'd look for something else.

second time I read about someone booking a hotel through Hotwire but not knowing which one, just the star rating? what's that all about? Why won't they say?

have you checked betterbidding.com? A great site with lots and lots of info about both priceline and hotwire. Unfortunately, the hotwire list for London is not extensive and doesn't answer your question....but in case you want to look at it, it can be found at this URL

tks for your responses - yup, i do use betterbidding and bidding for travel....... i was able to get an excellent deal on a great hotel in yvr thanks to their input. London though, is very sparse in detail as to the hotels. I'm still trying for Priceline but no luck at the moment.
