I will be in Montreal in a couple of weeks, and I have reviewed the postings on restaurants. There is not much on italian food (my wife's preference....).

I finally found one called Le Latini, but the reviews I found were mixed. Anybody been to it? Any other Italian restaurant in the Downtown-Old Montreal area? $$$ not an issue, I am only in town a couple of days...

Thanks a lot

Personally, I enjoy Le Latini! You won't make a mistake going there.

Another nice one is Bice if money isn't an issue on Sherbrooke, its in the downtown area.

Then again, I am italian and don't usually eat out Italian because noone can compare to my mom's cooking. However Orni suggests Il Mulino in Little Italy but if money isn't an issue, you might as well go to Quelli Della Notte on St Laurent in Little Italy.

Just had lunch at the Latini today!

Il Mulino is better.

A small, intimate, and excellent restaurant is Ristorante BIS on de la Montagne street.

Bice on Sherbrooke is excellent as well.

Il Mulino has been called the best restaurant in Montreal by some, but I've never been.

DaVinci on Bishop is another very good choice.

Believe me, you will not have a hard time finding amazing italian food in our city...hope you enjoy!
