I'm planning a trip to Montreal in July, and would like some advice on where to find reasonably priced overnight parking in or near Old Montreal. I plan to leave my vehicle for the duration of my stay (4 days), as I've found that I can get everywhere I want to be by walking or taking public transport. I'm even willing to park some distance from where I'm staying if the price is good and the area safe, so long as I can get public transport back "home".

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Hey there,

It's a good idea you've got; you really don't need a car when visiting Montreal.

Depending on what you mean by 'reasonably priced,' you may have a couple of options. If you want indoor parking, you may want to consider parking your car in Central Station - from there you can get on the Metro (our subway, in case you've never been here) and you'll be in old montreal in no time. I can't think of all that many lots in old montreal, and if there are, they're either small or always packed, and likely more expensive. You'll find a big parking lot on the corner of Rene Levesque and de la Montagne, and it's right by the Bonaventure metro station. Hop on, and old montreal is two stops away...

you really should have no probs at all...

enjoy,

rob

Thanks Rob,

Unfortunately, try as I might, I cannot find any information online about parking at Station Centrale. Do you have any idea what their rates are for overnight parking?
