Hello

I will be visiting Montreal during the first week of July. I have a couple of questions:

1. I am from the States and I was wondering if Montreal has any bring your own booze/drinks restaurant? I would love to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine over dinner but it gets too expensive at a restaurant. I usually just bring my own bottle to the restaurant. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I am looking for restaurants that are clean, nice decor, not touristy and not that pricy (preferrably under $25 per entree). I am open to almost all types of cuisine and family style is fine too.

Besides bring your own booze/drinks restaurants, I would appreciate it if someone recommends a few good restaurants.

2.I am staying at the latin quarter. What are some of the suggested places/things to do?

3. Any good wine bars or places to catch a few drinks with friends?

4. What are some of the suggested festivals from 7/4 to 7/7?

Thanks a lot!

(1) Does Montreal have any BYOW restaurants? :-)) ...

Search results from RestoMontreal: http://tinyurl.com/6y254q

Other ideas here (not all in the same neighbourhood though): http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~jer/visit/rest.html,

and here as well: http://perso.b2b2c.ca/victrola/restos.html

Lunch: good bistro, beers brewed on the premises: Réservoir, 9 Duluth est. They serve brunches on weekends, from 10h30. My favorite greasy sppon in the area is Coco Rico, a Portuguese owned and run little place: zero decoration, but finger lickin good roast chicken, for dirt cheap, to eat in or take-out. At 3907 St-Laurent, a few doors north of Schwatzs (-> smoked meat institution).

You might enjoy some suggestions from a foodie, posted on this site: tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g155032-i51-k19087…
