Hi, We will be spending Christmas in Montreal this year and would like to know what to do on Christmas day as I guess most places will be closed. Can anyone recommend somewhere for lunch or dinner (family friendly) so we don't spend the day in the motel.

Everything is closed Christmas day in Montreal. The few restaurants that are open are packed and usually reserved full for family parties. Your only chance is probably something like McDonalds sadly!

There are many ethnic restaurants open on Christmas & many places, more likely many hotels, have special Christmas menus. Please do not think that your only choice is MickyDs!

Thanks for the reply. Are there any recommendations on restaurants near La Square Phillips that we can book beforehand? We have two teenagers, so somewhere not too expensive.

I am from poland end i thing that christmas in montreal are the best in the world.. today is 3.08.2008 end i want now christmas.. ok I can wait..8.12.2008 i.am going to montreal:)) i am very very heapy.. see you in montreal:))
