Just thought I would give a little report on our 3 day trip to Quebec City for you guys.

Sunday - arrived in Quebec around noon (rented a room from someone who houses university students during the school year). We decided to visit Ile d'Orleans first and spent about 4 hours touring the island. What a beautiful place!! Stopped at the chocolate store to pick up some goodies for our hubbies. Checked out the marina as well, and took a lot of pictures.

We ended up having a late dinner, and went to the Cochon Dingue on Champlain. It was a really good dinner, I had the mussels, my sister had the steak, and we were both really happy with our meals - dessets were delicious as well!

Monday - Left the car at the house and took the bus to the Place d'Youville bus terminal, spent the entire day strolling, taking lots of pictures, visiting museums, a little window shopping as well, our favorite little shop was with the glass-blower, we even returned again this morning!

Had lunch at the Casse Crepe Breton, and was well worth the 45 minute wait. We ate much more than necessary and we thought the prices was really amazing (we each had a crepe, side salad, coffee and yet another crepe for dessert for about $15 each). I thought it was really cool that you can actually see the girls making the crepes right behind the counter. took a trip on the ferry to Levis, but did not get off as we were both exhausted...really pretty view though.

In the evening we took a drive to the race track, now called Sulky Quebec, to watch the $43,000 stake race won by Power Park, as he should have. they put a lot of $$ into that track and it is pretty nice inside now.

Stopped for a snack on the way home for a poutine from Chez Ashton...this was the only place that didnt live up to my expectations...I guess I read so many reviews that I was expecting fireworks to fly out of it. it was good, but just as good as any other poutine around.

This morning - went back to the glass blowing shop to watch him make a few vases, really cool. checked out a few more shops, bought a couple of little things, and then headed home.

we are definatly going back again, possibly to stay on Ile d'Orleans :)

Thanks so much! I'm going to Quebec City in 2 weeks, and I still haven't planned what I want to do when I get there, so this helps.
