I am looking for suggestions of somewhere to go in Switzerland for 3 nights (flying into Zurich) in early September. Here is a list of our ideal requirements:

Accommodation near a golf course (within 5km)

My husband likes self-catering and I prefer a hotel, so we could look at both and then see who wins! However our budget would be approx €100 a night, so nothing too expensive, but not of a low standard either

A smallish town in a scenic setting with shops to browse around - as a comparison we stayed in Ruhpolding in Germany and loved the setting, size, atmosphere.

Neither of us are really pushed on going to Switzerland but due to visas it's the easiest option so we are looking to be tempted to an area. We are not interested in hiking trails and we have been put off looking at how expensive it appears to be in Switzerland, so we are open to any suggestions you may have.
