Hi. I am planning on going to Malta first week of October but need some help. What will the weather be like? Is it still warm enough to go to the beach?

I am going with my boyfriend and have not been able to find a hotel with great reviews. We are looking to stay at a nice hotel, prefebly modern, walking distance to the beach, nice pool and close to town and restaurants. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, what is a good website to book my vacation package through and get the best rates! We are flying for Milan. Any idea where I can find great deals?

Thanks!

Hi

Weather in October can be variable, you might get some rain, sometimes heavy. It should still be warm enough for the beach. I can remember swimming right up to about 17th October. Many people swim beyond that date.

I suggest that you have a look at Radisson and Corinthia San Gorg in St Julian's as they are both right by the sea. Beaches are rocky here though. If you want sandy beaches you need to head for the north of the island and that is usually at the expense of towns and restaurants.

I believe Ryanair fly to Malta from Milan so check them out

The hotels Twirl mentioned are also near a small sandy beach which won`t be crowded in October but are not exactly on a bus route.

The 5* hotels in St Julians all have nice pool areas and are within walking distances to beaches = but not sandy. As you are not traveling with kids, many prefer the flat rocky beaches anyway.

Sliema and St Julians have many good restaurants.

Check out starwebmalta.com.

Visitmalta.com (views and downloads) and heartofmalta.com have good videos even of hotels.

Airmalta often have good deals.

scroll right down and put in a destination (any one as Malta is small)

If you put key words like sliema = st julians = restaurants into the search box on top you`ll find lots of info to keep you busy
