My husband and I are in our third hour (at least) of no air conditioning here at EDR - casitas, and I'm getting really ticked off about it. A guy has been working on it for a long time and still no cool air. This place is nice, but it's too hot to put up with this.

Hey Laurie,

Well that is not much fun. I know how frustrating it can be when the ac doesn't work. Plays havoc with one's hair.

Let's see ...

1. Go for a walk on the beach

2. Get into the pool

3. Go stand under the waterfall in the pool at casita area 31.

Ok, Kimlo, Exray do you have any ideas how to cool down Laurie and dh?

Oh...go to the martini bar?

Hope it gets fixed soon!

Unfortunately this has happened on a day when I'm not feeling so great, and all I want to do is go to bed. :(

Just had a call from the night manager, or someone, and there are supposedly no more rooms in this whole freakin' place AND they can't fix the air conditioner tonight. I don't think we'll be coming back here.

Laurie620

I am so sorry that you are not feeling well.

I would say - have a frozen drink

Go snorkeling

Pick up a drink at the swim-up bar

Hang out in the lobby

Get a cold drink

Eat at Cocotal or Kampai for a long breakfast

Have a frozen drink

Make friends & hang out in their room & have drinks with them.

lol

I'm sorry it's not funny when your HOT!!!

Just find a little A/C each chance you get. And demand another room if they can't fix it or have them move you to EDM - it's never full.

You wont go back there because they had a maintance issue in the middle of the night?

I am sure it is not fun but shesh relax alittle bit. If your air broke at home at 9 10 a night you ouldnt get someone out there to fix it and if it was 90+ degrees out it could be a few days before you may get someone to.

Just be persistant i am sure they arent fixing it to ruin your vacation. In the morning tell them you need to be moved if they can fix it. Be respectful but dont just let them give you the run around or what you think could be the run around. Sometimes communication issues can make seems as though they are blowing you off when it really isnt the case.

After rereaing your post i missed where you siad they are currently fixing it. SO whats your problem?

They seems to be addressing the problem and you are still mad?

Things happen and in poorer countries the tend to happen alittle more. Its sucks sure but its gonna happen afterall its Mexico. You are gonna have power outtages often water issues once in awhile.

Still not sure why your mad when they are trying to fix it yet you are "ticked".

If its so bad i say leave.

Oh well i am done.

Hope this issue is resolved and you continue with your vacation with no more problems.

I'd rather be stuck at EDR with no air-conditioning than sat behind my desk at work.

I'm having to agree with the Kali-MAN. Once again.

I'll be there tomorrow pm... hope it's fixed. If not, I figure I'll sit in the pool... or go visit EDM.

Still better than being here at work!

Liz,

Have a fabulous trip! Remember to report back on peacocks, iguanas, palapas, nakedness and well, whatever.

Plus, have a mango marguarita for me, Kimlo and Exray. We're having a hard time adjusting to regular life.

Travel safe,

njw
