First time going to MX (we are leaving this friday for el dorado royale!) =) are mosquitos and other flying critters that bite a big problem this time of year?

We walked up the beach from EDM past the marina into an area that was not developed and there were a few horse type looking flies I would bring something like skin so soft. We did not experience any skietters, but something else, maybe jelly fish? Still don't know. There were not any bugs flying around that I could see. But we must have done something, because about a day and a half later, we had bites.....I am pretty sure it is the jelly fish.

We never had a problem with bugs or bites. Never used spray.

Hi

We got back from EDR 2 weeks ago (so jealous of you going!!!). I took 3 cans of spray for 2 of us for 2 weeks, I used it every night, my partner didn't, and didn't suffer from bites. We only got through 1 small can.

Have a great holiday!!!

We just got back yesterday, and I didn't notice any mosquitos, but the bellman said 7 pm is the start of "mosquito hour." Maybe we were lucky, but that ended as soon as we got home. The bugs are out here in Oklahoma, and I've been scratching, scratching, scratching!

Out of all the times we have gone - onlt 1 time for 2 days at EDSS did we occur some bitting bugs - like sand fleas. We purchased bug spray there - and had no problems after that.
