Sounds like a great itinerary and one the kids will enjoy.

http://www.ozjetboating.com/ for jet ride.

Take a ferry ride over to Darling harbour from Circular Quay and check out the IMAX is a giant movie screen, more than eight stories high.

www.imax.com.au/

or the Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world with more than 5000 different Australian fish. Visitors can "walk on the ocean floor" through 145 metres (480 ft) of acrylic underwater tunnels.

www.sydneyaquarium.com.au

or in Manly/ Ghost tour. (kids will love it).

Manly Quarantine Station Tour.

Guided tours only allowed – phone for booking 9247 5033

Public Tour: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and sun Time: 1.10pm – 3.40pm (Take the no 135 bus from Manly Wharf)

Adult Ghost Tours: Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun Time: 7.30pm – 10.30pm

Kids Ghost Tours: Friday 6 – 8pm

From Circular Quay catch the ferry to Manly Wharf - catch a bus/taxi or walk. It takes approx 5 - 10mins travel time.Walking is difficult as its a steep climb up Eastern Hill.

Maybe Luna Park for the night? Not open every night though check www.lunaparksydney.com

Another suggestion would be centrepoint tower www.sydneytoweroztrek.com.au

yes, my suggestion is sydney tower at night also, or even ride the ferry to neutral bay, but one way or the other enjoy the city lights and harbour by night. It is beautiful.

For the extra day.. hmm I think I would consider doing one of the walks.. maybe even move Manly to the end day and combine that with some or all of the spit to Manly walk, or other harbour walks, what time of year are you coming? That could make a difference to suggestions..

have a look at http://www.walkingcoastalsydney.com.au/

my kids always loved fossicking around the markets when on holiday - not exactly my favourite pastime but they never seem to tire of it..

If your kids are the sort that like that sort of thing we have no shortage of museums. The museum of Sydney is good and quite interactive and not too big..or there is the police and justice museum just near that also... Where else in Aus are you going?

Will you be going to any animal parks elsewhere? There's several to choose from in Sydney if you want to see Aussie creatures..
