Things to do...? |
We are in Hobart for 2 full days 26th/27th September. Any suggestions for good things to do / see in Tasmania? |
hello guys, yes, we can give you heaps of information regarding our stay in September. You do however have to understand the basics of TA; which to me and others is totally awesome/ or awful. Sorry, Ellemay.
please place your questions on ONE thread, otherwise all Syndeysiders plus others, are just chasing our tails regarding having FUN!>

Hi Lynne & Steve I think what Elle might be saying is that the forums rely on voluntary contributions to keep it going. There is no pay involved - and general questions take a lot of time to answer. People contribute because like you they enjoy travelling :) It is much better if you can check what others have asked before and if you need specific info you can ask then :) Most of the time its already been covered and you get a number of opinions if you read as well. This is good - because everyone has a different idea about holidays. I hope that helps with a bit of background. There are some great posts so grab a coffee and have a read. Natt

OH well I don't mind having a go.... 2 days in Tassie? Just stick to Hobart...you don't have time to do anywhere else. At most I would suggest heading out to Richmond, less than an hours drive- to have a browse through the shops, buy some local Tasmanian arts and/or crafts, eat a nice meal at the pub and check out the bridge and feed the ducks. In Hobart: Mt Wellington Cascade Brewery tour Salamanca (the market there, too, if your visit coincides) Honestly that is all your visit will probably allow for so good luck and enjoy your time there!

Hi LandS77 - you'll get some good ideas from browsing the forum and the links under "More On Hobart", but of particular interest at the time you'll be in Hobart would be the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens http://www.rtbg.tas.gov.au , your dates are very close to the annual Tulip Festival, so the gardens will be spectacular.
