Hi, I just returned from Ft. Morgan last night and did not see any flags while there. We rented a beach house directly from an owner and it's not affliated with particular community/subdivision out on Ft. Morgan, so we were on our own as far as flags go. We did see jelly fish last week--usually some every day. On our last day on the beach (Friday), my sister picked up 10 to 12 right at the shoreline within probably 15 minutes. We kept a net handy and would scoop them out of the water or off the beach if we found them so we could put them away from where we walked--and where our kids were.

My husband and I drove into Orange Beach one day last week and I noticed 2 red flags up at the public beach---this means you cannot enter the water. Out on Ft. Morgan, we had noticed the water was rather rough and figured it was due to Hurricane Dolly as it headed to South Texas. Again, no flags where we were--we just had to watch the local weather and look out at the water ourselves.

The house we rented didn't have a name, but it was a 4 bedroom/2 bath that is right around mile marker 15. The owner just has a sign posted on his property with his number. We met him last year when we stayed next door to him (last year, we rented "The Grand" through ft.morgan realty) and he let my parents come over and see the house. We kept his number and called this year to find an open week. It worked out well. I hope you'll enjoy your beach house and that you won't have to worry about jellyfish!
