My husband are going on a babymoon in September and were thinking of Maui. We went to Kauai last year and LOVED it.

We are looking for a hotel with good restaurants (or near lots of good restaurants), spa, good pool and nice beach. I don't want to have to drive 30 mintues away from the hotel to get a meal.

Our travel agent has recommended the Marriot, Sheraton, and the Royal Lahiana. I am not impressed with the Marriot since it really doe not have a beach. The Royal does not look too nice.

The Sheraton is probably the best of all of those. I was also wanting to get opinions on the Fairmont, Westin, Hyatt and Four Seasons. $ is not a big deal.

Thanks so much!!

FYI - I am also open to smaller, more intimate upscale resorts. Any suggestions appreciated!!

If money isn't an issue, try Four Seasons, Fairmont, or Grand Wailea.

Aloha mexicobride,

You might also enjoy the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. Besides their own very nice dinning facilities there are other excellent restaurants close by. Within a five to ten minute drive is The Plantation House, The Seahouse, The Pineapple Grill, and Merriman's. The Kaanapali Beach area with many more wonderful restaurants is just 15 minutes South of the Ritz. Kapalua is a quiet and very lush area... exquisitely beautiful!

Aloha!

Sheraton...great beach, good location...you can walk down Kaanapali beach to Whaler's Village for shops and restaurants. They do have a spa, good pool; it's very romantic!
