Hello, St Marie Beach Hotel is nice and can do for people who do not look for changes. If you want to comply to the mood and the beauty of Sainte-Marie, try Boraha Village or Princess Bora Lodge. They are of the same standard but have more originality than St Marie Beach Hotel. You can enjoy a nice beach at Boraha Village. Second half of August is advised because it is the end of the rainy season and you can go do sea outing for whale watching. Enjoy!

Hi there, St Marie is a very small Island, don't lets Hotel stop your trip or ruined your exitement, if there are ways for you to reserve another Hotel of your choice go for it, other wise any Hotel that recommanded by travel agency from Europ are usually very suitable. Hotels are only suppose to be a place for the night in M/kar since you will be so busy visiting the Island. In Saint Marie you can rent a bicycle, motocycle to go around the Isand to see what ever you like to find, beach of your choice or hike or a boat trip. Its all depending on you and how active you are. If you are the guest who want to relax at the beach all day then maybe find a Hotel have a perfect beach other wise St Marie is St. Marie no matter where you stay or what you do, you will have fun. Good luck

Thanks everyone! We are booking our trip now, and are going to stay at Princesse Bora Lodge. We are going the beginning of August, so I hope the weather holds out. But when they say rainy season, what does that mean? It rains all day long? Or just 2 hours a day? If a little bit of rain per day, it won't bother me! Thanks, TravelWise
