Hi- I may be going to Armenia at the end of August. We will be in Turkey, so we will fly from Istanbul to Yerevan, Armenia. It is my understanding that only Armavia flies between these two countries. Does anyone know if this is a safe airline? I have a general fear of flying, so if the airline is sketchy it will make me even more nervous. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you.

I have probably replied far too late.... But I was in Armenia September 2007. I met a lady who had flown with Aeroflot 30 times, and never had any problem. Also, in one restaurant we met two or three Aramavia pilots before and after a return trip to Moscow. They had no fear of their company. Kind regards. | ||||||

Hi! Thank you for your response. I actually never went to Armenia. My husband did, though. His only problem was that his flight from Yerevan to London was cancelled the day before and they did not have another flight going out for another 2 days! (British Airways) He ended up buying another ticket on another airline because he wanted to get back to NYC. That is good to know, though, that the Armavia pilots were not concerned. | ||||||
