Unfortunately there are no cheap hotels in Doha.

Ones worth looking at, that are near the airport would be;

Rydges Plaza, Marriot, Movenpiick

You may be able to contact them via email and ask for a half day rate ... not sure if they do this or not, but worth a try.

Suggest that you check with the airline if they provide free stopover accomodation for you since I understand that they would provide it in case of transit exceeding 8 hours (except low fare classes).

If not free, they could still book hotel rooms for you at a discount price.
