Hello everyone im going to Bogota and i need a bit of help selecting a good hotel in a decent area, im looking for something at about £30 per night, or even cheaper would be great.

Any other general travel tips and advice are well appreciated. Really looking forward to it!

I am in the process of looking for a place to stay for my girlfriend, who has to be in Bogota by the end of August. I have to talk to the people of "La Casona del Patio" see - www.lacasonadelpatio.net, which it's by the way a big pick from fellow travelers in Tripadvisor. Anyway, I called and for a single single room they charge $55.000 COP/night (US$31.50) including taxes and daily breakfast. Read the reviews, seems like a nice place and in a safe area.

Hi there!

La Casona del Patio seems like a good choice, but I would recomend using the hotel finder on this website: www.destinobogota.com I found a great hotel in a great area for a cheap price! just cant remember the name...

Also, if your in bogota you shouldnt miss visiting places like monserrate or the salt cathedral!

That las website is handy, but if you check the prices you will find that all of them are over US$120 dollars and what James is looking for it's hotels not over US$30. Go with la Casona del Patio or check this other websites:
