Need help with transportation ? |
|
witch transportation is the cheaper from the Narita airport to cerulean hotel Shibuya ( for 2 person ). And in japan, is tap water drinkable ? I look forward for the reply. Tq |

The limousine bus directly takes you to Cerulean from NRT for 3,000 yen. Coach timetable: http://tinyurl.com/6o6e5r Your hotel's access map: http://www.ceruleantower-hotel.com/en/map/ If using an affordable mode of transport is your first priority, you might purchase the 'Suica and NEX' combo, and take the Narita Express from NRT to Shinjuku, then back track to Shibuya by the Yamanote, Saikyo or Shonan-Shinjuku Line. In the evening the Narita Express stops at Shibuya. How cheap do you want to go. If you want to use limited express trains and not have to buy a Suica card via the Suica/NEX deal (which is a good deal), you can get to your hotel for about Y1300 but the Suica/NEX is probably the best deal in terms of comfort and convenience at about Y1500 net.

I'd pick NEX without a doubt, especially with the NEX-Suica package. It beats the limobus in terms of both price and time (due to possible traffic). If you want to go door-to-door, you can always take a taxi from Shinjuku or Shibuya station to your hotel for less than 1,000 Yen, which would still be cheaper than the bus. I drink tap water while in Japan. Most hotel rooms have a water boiler anyway (for making of tea) should you have any doubts.

>>If you want to go door-to-door, you can always take a taxi from Shinjuku or Shibuya station to your hotel for less than 1,000 Yen, which would still be cheaper than the bus.<< ??? This info is partially wrong. If you catch a taxi from Shinjuku Station to Cerulean, it will cost 1,500 to 2,000 yen and you are likely to get stuck in traffic jams on the Meiji Street. The distance is 4.3km. In case of heavy traffic, the taxi fare will increase drastically, which will offset the benefit of the 'Suica and NEX' package. Taxi ride info from Shinjuku to Shibuya: http://tinyurl.com/5tw3zj S = Shinjuku Station G = Cerulean In case the Narita Express you take doesn't stop at Shibuya, head onto Shinjuku, and backtrack to Shibuya by Yamanote Line. Then catch the complimentary 'City Shuttle' from SHIBUYA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU, or the Tokyu Department Store Toyoko branch to your hotel.

I agree that Meiji Dori can be very busy during most of the day. Backtrack to Shibuya using JR and then walk, use the shuttle or pay for a cab to get you up the hill to the hotel. Based on looking at the shuttle stops, it might be quicker to walk up the hill or just catch a cab on the south side of the station. The cab from the south side will be minimum charge.

Nice animation, however, it is up a hill so if you're physically challenged it may be a bit of a struggle to get there by walking. If you're reasonably fit and able to traverse a few hundred meters of walking up a grade then it shouldn't be a problem.

By the way, it's a very nice hotel, highly underrated in my opinion. It's not over the top in the class of the Mandarin or Ritz but it should be very comfortable and a nice experience for your stay.

Thanks guys for the reply .
