Hey Im going to Diego at xmas I will arrive in the capital on the 22nd of December and Im hoping to look at the best way to travel up to Diego on the 24th....Id like to look around the country a little and be up to Diego to hopefully spend xmas with my fella, I would like to do things at budget but also have a good time, how busy do you think it will be and whats the best way to get up north? tour? plane? bus etc?? What can you say are the best things to see there? Any help on hostels/places to stay and things to see and how much to plan ahead would be great help. Thanks Gen

Hi

the Xmas in this country is rain season but anyway it's best option you choose this time for the experience in the another country. Many things you'll see there for example explore the Ankarana reserve and Montagne d'amber and you can extend too your tour to the sacred lake Antanavo , the best way is tour ( step by step on special car)i would to reccomand you freelance guide who can arrange your tour there and he can give you more information about it so contact him:fihlusko07@hotmail.com.

Good luck!

Hi there,

The best ways to go around Xmas is an airpane it will be so mach rain you can't risk anything. Diego is a very touristique place so it is easy to get around like kent said those places are the best in the area but those are a place you could do alone in no need of guid they are a day trip from Diego accept Ankarana, you could grab a taxi-be or a taxi will take you there and pick you up later. Diego have a very nice Tourism office in center town opposite of Air Madagascar's office they are very helpfull.

Make sure you visit Montagne d'Ambre and ramena one of m/kar best beach.

Lets me know if you need more info, I have lived there for many years.
