My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at Heliconia Hideaway for 6 nights at the end of March.This place is stunning, and i am so glad we cancelled our other accommodation and booked this. If you are lucky enough to find availability i would say book it now. It is by far the best place on the island. You are located in Titikaveka which has the best snorkelling. The beach is on your doorstep, a beautiful long stretch of beach with nobody else on it. It is a gorgeous, and very spacious, villa nestled in amonst tropical plants. John and Hinano have done a wonderful Job on this place. You really feel like you are the only ones here. The evenings are so peaceful, listening to the distant sound of waves. The outdoor hottub/shower is a real treat, its great showering in amonst the private garden outdoors. I dont think we used the indoor shower once. The best part is waking up in the morning and having a beautiful view of the ocean right from your bed. There is a deck with a bbq, a kitchen, and John and Hinano will advise you on anything you need. I highly recommend visiting the girls at Maire Nui Garden cafe for one of their amazing Chicken and salad foccacias, or even the scrambled eggs.
My husband is ready to throw in his job and live in Heliconia Villa, that is how much we loved it. I highly recommend this for anyone going to Rarotonga
