I've never written a review of a resort before, but this experience has been so outstanding I just had to write. In fact, I'm still at the resort right now.
I've been a nudist for several years now and have been to several resorts in the U.S. but none compare to this. My experience here has been overwhelmingly positive. My wife and I arrived 7 days ago. As advertised, a driver was waiting for us at the airport. He didn't speak any English, but he was very friendly and stopped the van whenever my wife wanted to take a picture. The ride wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be based on some of the descriptions. It was a bit bumpy, but I was expecting a dirt road or something. It took an hour and a half, and we were greeted immediately upon arrival. They told us to leave our bags, and we were given a small tour of the grounds.
Then we were shown to our room where our bags were waiting for us. They showed us the amenities and then left us to settle in. I took my clothes off and haven't put any on ever since. There really is no need for them, as it's been warm the whole time, and money isn't needed (as long as you don't leave the resort). I thought we might do some outside excursions, but it's been so relaxing here, we never felt the urge to leave.
We got the cheapest unit, the seacliff room, but it's still quite nice. Very spacious with a nice balcony, king size bed, A/C, tv, and wireless internet. It overlooks the main pool and bar. The only problem we had was the A/C broke down. We told them, and they immediately sent people to fix it. They weren't able to, so the manager gave us a big fan to use until the next morning when we were moved to the room next door. It's been worry free ever since.
As people have said, the grounds here are amazing. Very beautiful and well-kept. The pools and hottubs are great, and we didn't experience the hottubs being too hot. I guess they fixed that. Again, as people have said, the beach is rocky and not very good to swim in, so the pools get much more activity. Last year, we went to Club Orient in St. Martin, and the beach there is much better. However, the resort itself doesn't comare to this one. I'm not much of a swimmer anyway, so that's ok with me.
The food varies in quality. Breakfast isn't great, and lunch is fairly basic, but it's decent. Dinner is generally good. People said you don't get lobster or filet mignon, but we've gotten both since we've been here. It's not as good as Maine lobster, but hey, I'm not going to turn it down. Regardless of the quality of the food, the presentation is always top notch and always served in a timely fashion.
As far as drinks, my wife and I aren't much of drinkers, so we really don't care that the alcohol isn't top quality. We just stick to the tropical drinks that only have a touch of alcohol, and they're fine for us, especially the coco locos.
Now for the most wonderful part - the service. The staff here is superb. They are friendly, attentive, and hard working. I can't believe they're not working for tips. I have never been treated so well by so many people. They genuinely seem happy to be here and want to make your stay as nice as possible. When we got here, there was hardly anyone here (we like to travel in the off season), so it felt like we had the resort to ourselves. We were treated like royalty. But even as more people arrived, the staff didn't stop treating us the same way. We've gotten to talk to so many of them and learn about them and their country. I want to thank Jose, Bryan, Maggie, Van, James, David, Ricardo, Sinclair, and everyone else we've met but didn't get their names. I really can't say enough about the people here.
My wife and I have mostly been relaxing the whole time so haven't participated in many activities or entertainment. We've taken Spanish lessons and caught Fernando the magician but not much else. But there are plenty of activities and entertainment if you're into it. The disco and lounge is quite nice, but we don't like hip-hop, so we haven't gone.
Overall, my experience here has been wonderful. I love being nude and not worrying about clothes, and this is definitely the place to go for that. However, if you don't want to be nude all the time, that's ok, too. There are plenty of people who only took their clothes off to sunbathe or swim. It's entirely up to you. Everybody's having a good time, so they really don't care. I would recommend this to anyone.
