We went down with a group, 5 guys, and 4 girls, and had the most amazing time. This is one of the coolest places we've been, and we do Vegas, Miami, Cabo, etc.

The place is beautiful. We had suites and they are designed like you are in some million dollar Hollywood apartment. We met some other cool girls and had a party in one of our rooms, and other people came by, it was very cool. Bathrooms are all marble and big, with jacuzzi's, double sinks, really, really nice. We also had a giant balcony, about 1000 square feet. I think you can see the ocean from almost every room.

The pool scene is sick. Awesome cabana's, frozen drinks, good music, its very boutique, like one of the cool 5-star Miami properties, except the service is MUCH better. Everyone down there is so nice, and wants you to have a good time. They have a ton of staff, you are never left wanting.

We climbed waterfalls, went ATVing, golfing, and they have beautiful tennis courts (I play a lot) right there, with ballboys and attendees. So much to do.

Town is cool too. We hit a couple of clubs where there were other people in their late 20's like us.

The resort had a mix of young singles, and some people slightly older, but what was great was that everyone was cool. It's a "Maxim" resort so everyone "gets it."

You could do your own thing in a private poolside cabana, or socialize.

They just opened a "Social" restaurant, same as the one in Miami at the Sagamore, and I think the same as the one in LA, so there is a very hip vibe to all the dining and room service.

Why did it take so long for a company like Maxim to do this? Its the perfect idea.

Oh, while we were there there were some celebrities staying there. We hung with them a bit, so I don't want to say who, but one was a famous actress, and another was a reality star and her Heisman Trophy winning bf from the NFL.

Everyone was cool. I'd reccommend ot over anything else in the Carib or Miami. Anyway, we are all going back for 4th of July!! Have fun!

My husband and I spent a wonderful week at the Maxim Bungalows. Our room was immaculate and modern with a huge terrace overlooking the pool and the ocean in the distance. The room was very spacious and our bed was very comfortable.
The property and especially the pool is stunning. We spent most of our days lounging by the pool on one of the many lounge beds or in the cabanas while the staff kept making sure we had drinks and water. When not by the pool, we spent time at the spa, horseback riding, fishing and golfing- all set up seamlessly by the concierge.
We didn't get to eat in the restaurant as it was not ready at the time, but after speaking with the man hired to run the restaurant we know that the food will be great. We ate at the neighboring Sun Village resort as well as a couple of restaurants near by.
The staff is absolutely fantastic- they take care of everything for you and are always smiling and friendly. Manny and Otto at the pool were especially terrific. Since the beach and Sun Village restaurants are walking distance, there are golf carts to take you where you need to go, however the grounds are so gorgeous that we opted to walk everywhere.
Overall, we were treated like stars and found this to be a gorgeous, relaxing vacation.

We just finsished a 9 day stay in Paradise--at the Maxim Bungalows. We had a wonderful time the service and staff and place wre 5 star caliber. I will be recommending the Maxim Bungalows to all my friends. Words are not enough to descrive the time we both had down here, it was one of our best vacations

My girlfriend and I stayed at the brand-new Maxim Bungalows between Feb. 20-27, 3008, and couldn't believe how stylish and beautiful this resort is.

The suites are equipped with state-of-the-art appliances (stainless steel kitchen, flat-screen TVs, jacuzzi) and furnished with contemporary Mark Davis furniture. The pool area is set up to look like a South Beach lounge, and the restaurant, Social, looks like it was airlifted straight out of Beverly Hills. No expense was spared to make this the nicest resort in the Dominican, if not the entire Caribbean.

The rooms and common facilities are top-notch -- nicer than anything I've seen on previous trips -- but what really sets this place apart from other resorts is the SERVICE. Everyone, from the manager, to the concierge, to the bellboys who drive you anywhere you want to go in golf carts, greets you with a friendly smile and asks if there is anything they can do to make your stay more enjoyable. We were blown away by their warmth and professionalism.

Even the adjacent sister property where we spent most of our days, Sun Village, was fantastic. Although it's listed as a four-star resort, the facilities, food and service well exceeded our expectations. It's an incredible value for families or travelers not looking for the exclusivity of Maxim.

Those looking for a relaxing holiday in luxurious tropical surroundings would be hard-pressed to find a nicer destination than Maxim Bungalows.
