Went to Kingston, Jamaica in Jan - Feb 2006 and I'm not a beach person, did not go once to the beach in two weeks. I like visiting places. I rented a car at the airport and drove all over the place. One of the places I went to, was Mavis banks.
The people are polite and the tour of the factory was well done. On that day, my cousin could not come with me, so I went alone and they did not mind showing me every step of the coffee production, from the plants where they grow to the final results ready to ship. The guide was very helpful in explaining every detail and patient, not pushy or in a hurry. The only little negative point was that the cup of coffee they serve you at the end was a little stirofoam cup and not a good sized mug. but that wasn't a big thing.
I recommend this tour, just call them up and you usually can come at any time of the day, they will be ready for you.
