“Fantastic Holiday”

After reading previous reviews I was worried as I had already booked into the Royal Decameron. I'm 23 and my girlfriend is 21 and we had an amazing time.

The view from the room was out of this world, the rooms were clean, fresh and of a nice size for the two of us.
The majority of the staff were nice and polite and were very welcoming upon arrival.

The entertainment team was great. Zulu was hilarious and had us up dancing all the time.

Food was good, especially the beach grill in the day time.

If you want a day trip then the cool running trip is fantastic.
This starts with a morning out on a catamaran then snorkeling in the sea. After this you are taken to Dunn's River Falls to climb the 600ft high waterfall.

People who say going off the resort is dangerous are lying. We went off most days and were at ease walking around, if people ask just say “no thank you” and they will leave you alone.

Overall this was a fantastic holiday and I would recommend this to anyone.

Make sure your next holiday is to the Royal Decameron and you won't be disappointed.

“Disappointed”

Royal Decameron Montego Beach

Employees were great. Below average on food quality, couldn't get Pepsi (nonalcoholic) until bar opened at 11:00. Bathrooms needs updated with tile & grout. Shower nozzle barely ran, no cold water from sink faucet (only hot), air conditioner noisy. It's ALL INCLUSIVE but no food available unless you are there for breakfast, lunch or dinner time. Rest of the day it's closed except for snack bar at pool (not good).
Sail boats, cayaks are only available couple hours in the morning and then in the afternoon, then closes at 4:00. This is a resort, activities should be available all day until dusk. Same thing with availability of food and non alcoholic beverages. Very short beach area, divided off by two docks. No walking on the beach. Very disappointed with the resort, would not recommend.

My sister and I loved this hotel! The price was right and it was in a perfect location. We loved the entertainment, free admission in the clubs and transportation there. The staff was very friendly (Shout out to Sassy!). The food was just OK but everything else made up for it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to young singles.

“Great Time!!”

Royal Decameron Montego Beach

Just got back from a fun stay at the RDMB. We really had a great time!!

I first want to list three things that I feel need improvement and then afterwards I will talk about my stay. Keep in mind this is a 3 star resort so I understood this also. 1st is they need better wine. If you are a wine drinker you will understand. 2nd is the salad dressings, I do eat salad and couldn’t find one I liked. 3rd is they need some indoor activities during the rain. It was overcast the entire time we were there but only rained really hard for 2 days. Indoor activities during that time would have been great.

Now for the rest of the review. We really enjoyed our stay at RDMB. Airport arrival was great, check-in at the resort was a breeze. We had room 404 which was large and had a great view of the ocean. We were really worried about the overbooking’s we read on Trip advisor but fortunately didn’t have a problem. We did get to meet Davian before we left. You guys need to cut him some slack, he really is a nice person and just has a tough job to do.

The food at the resort was good. They have great jerk chicken and pork and I loved my morning omelets and lunch Panini’s. Drinks were very strong and always quickly available. The staff at the resort really makes this place the best. I have to give my shout outs to the entertainment team; Kimberly, Jada, and Nicole, you guys are great!! Sassy does the best aqua aerobics and reggae dance class!! Nester is the best bartender ever; he really knows how to keep those drinks coming.

The nighttime entertainment is great. The Decameron dancers are some of the best that I have ever seen. We really enjoyed the shuttles to Margaritaville and Pier One on Fridays. We loved being so close to the hip strip although the casino there is worthless. None of the machines we wanted to play actually worked. We also went downtown which was crazy in itself. You also have to do Dunns River Falls, it is the best excursion ever.

We met so many wonderful couples and groups there from Canada and the Europe, we hated to leave, but I guess you can’t stay in paradise forever. If you are planning a trip here, enjoy and have fun, I am too jealous I wish I was still there!!
