“WE LOVED OUR STAY AT MOON SAN VILLA AT THE BLUE LAGOON”

Ordinarily, I do not write reviews, but due to the genuine hospitality we were given during our stay at the Villa, I felt it necessary.

Donna, the manager, met us when we arrived at the villa. She explained breakfast time, time for the boat ride, shopping ect. and all of our questions.

Donna's cinnamon/french toastwas the best!!! And going to Frenchman's Cove or San San beach in the villa's glass bottom boat was the highlight of out trip!!

We had an excellent vacation and came home and booked the master bedroom for another week this fall.

We stayed at the Moon San Villa. Donna and David were lovely people who were so friendly and helpful to their guests. Donna made awesome breakfasts for us. The people that are saying that you could only have certain things on the menu obviously don't understand how things work in Jamaica. You have to ask for things a day or two in advance. Often, Donna would cook us lovely Lobster and fish dinners. David was just as pleasant. My son Alex was crazy about both of them. I would recommend this place to anyone!

“Balderdash, Rubbish, Trash!!”

balder, trash, and rubbish is what i say to those who've written so negatively about this Jewel. I took Laura and it was our first trip to Jamaica. From the get go Dave arranged our drive from Kingston to Portland w/ our wonderful driver, Mr. Clark. Michael greeted us warmly and of course, Donna, our wonderful cook. She is extremely pleasant and warmhearted.
Michael took really good care of us. He even accompanied me on our last night there to the local market so i could get my Jamaican cheese.
I have to say the facilities are worth the price. Only negative for us were the skeeters (dang mosquitos). But ea. room is equipped w/ netting. But definately bring bug spray. Laura & I loved our stay so much so that we will be back next year. Ya Mon!! Excellent hosts!!

“Terrible experience!!”

We stayed in the master bedroom. It was definitely not worth the extra money. The air conditioning worked for 1 of the 3 nights. There were ants all over the bathroom, and the hot water in the shower was only a trickle. There was construction going on nearby, and the workers could see into the room. They worked on weekends even though the villa staff (Donna) told me otherwise. Breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, toast, and french toast. The cook (Donna) will tell you to look at the menu but, when it comes time to order, they have virtually nothing that's on the menu. She told me that it has to be ordered ahead of time. Paul is a nuissance. He works at the hotel--keeping the grounds and cleaning rooms. We treated him very nicely, having him go to dinner with us and show us around town. He kept asking my husband for money. He also gave him photos of himself and asked my husband to post them on a web site so that he can meet women. Very inappropriate, indeed!

“Don't stay at this villa”

The villa had failed to tell us that there is construction going on right in front of the villa blocking the view of the ocean. The construction workers can look right inside our room. The rooms are very small, including the master bedroom which is not even worth the money. The construction goes on everyday starting at 7:30am until 7:00pm including weekends.

There isn't restuarant around the villa so food will be hard to come by unless you want the cook at the villa to cook for you every night. That would be ok with us but the only options on the menu are chicken or fish.

The ground keeper that lives at the villa will try to scare you to not leave the ground without him, this is so he can make a buck or two out of you. The town is totally safe but like any other place in Jamaica...you will get harrass for money.

The blue lagoon is beautiful but you will get harass on a daily basis just trying to get in to swim.
