“Just ok but clean ....”

Marriott San Juan Resort & Stellaris Casino

First - we booked through priceline for a Saturday night after a cruise for $175 per night ..... when we checked in asked to see if an upgrade was available - offered $25 extra per night for ocean/pool view room - so we upgraded. ........ we checked in at 11:00 - GREAT service there!!!! .......... room had a good view - we were in the tower building - would highly recommend requesting that section......... Room was nice, clean, AC worked GREAT! .... nice balcony area, also flat screen tv. Pool area was just ok, hard to find a place to sun due to all the palm trees ...... beach area also just ok - nobody came around taking drink or food orders, had to track people down to try to take $$ from us for these things :) ........ casino - small, but ok - not great selection of slots, etc ....... $10 taxi ride to Old San Juan - $15.50 taxi ride to airport ....... clean, decent place to stay after cruise - last time we stayed at the Ritz - 10 times better, but of course you pay the $$ too.......... we also ate dinner at the buffet restaurant - yucky!! don't recommend............. starbucks and ice cream shop right across the street ........ they do not have scales to weigh your luggage in the hotel, so be aware of that if traveling after a cruise where you've bought lots of things - we just had to guess on the weight of our bags :)

“We made the right choice”

So pleased with our selection.
The reviews here were really helpful.
Were really convinced when we walked by el Convento.
Don't get me wrong, Convento is very nice, but we spent an entire week in San Juan and Old San Juan is worth a day trip at most.
If you're in San Juan for more than 2 days, stay at the Marriott.
The beach is spectacular.
If you've been to any eastern US beach, you'll love the ocean here.
And the restaurants within walking distance of this hotel are specacular.
The hotel staff and all the local merchants are top notch.
Will be back some day and this is where we will stay.

“I hate germs and bad service.... Neither was a issue...”

Marriott San Juan Resort & Stellaris Casino

I was a little hesitant about Priceline because whatever the reason I was unable to read the reviews for this hotel. However, I read the reviews on the hotel via trip advisor and they were average but this review will be the pure unadulterated truth. First of all I’m a germ phobic and simply must stay in a clean hotel. Ok we booked our trip and it was painless. We received an email staying that the snorkeling trip was cancelled due to weather. I became worried what’s going on with weather. Long story short the weather forecast was thunderstorms daily (So I called the hotel and was advised that it had rained daily but for the moist part the weather was great so I trusted this and proceeded with our trip. We paid for prepayment parking in the Ontario Park and Fly (Do not do this Priceline may not be aware bust they are a rip off Priceline charges you per day and then they billed us per hour uurrgghh) So we fly in the Puerto Rico without incident again Priceline may not be aware of this but Budget is horrible rude rude when we arrived Angel was arguing with a customer on the phone and making faces to us that the person was rambling. We were not happy to have to deal with him after a 9-½ flight but what the heck the customer was probably rambling and Angel was probably unprofessional. Yes Angel was very unprofessional I’m an insurance agent and understand the additional insurance and their job to sell it. Angel seemed to take it personal I declined the coverage, which is weird, but something quickly I dismissed not to my knowledge he continued to discuss my decision with my husband after I walked away. We were not pleased. We go to the Marriott in out stained seat, smoke filled rental car. The hotel was stunning; the room was ready but had two beds? I was told Priceline requests the double beds to maintain a lower price and we can change rooms no charge (great) Stephanie was awesome she also hinted to us about possible upgrades (we upgraded to first class on the flight and it was so so so very sad. I was not worth a 1.00 but we gave them 300.00 for the seats. Anyway, our room was upgraded to 609 for 25.00 GET THIS ROOM! You have 1 King size bed, and two balconies I mean large balconies one is pool view the second is ocean it made the trip it really did. The gym was great I used it twice my husband daily, the restaurant with the buffet was our favorite we found a small mom and pops restaurant in Kauai (Eggberts) with the world best pancakes this place is number two, clean plates and silverware and great great food. I’m afraid of buffets but enjoyed this one daily in 6 days for twp people we spent about 400.00 on three meals daily be prepared! The Hotel is the only one in the area not the El Condeor or the Ritz that is within walking distance of local stores and restaurant, star bucks is across the street J and the other hotels don’t have shopping (Gucci, Louis Vutton, or just simply souvenirs and a beach none of them) Ok before I end TAKE the tour through the Rainforest via Priceline not the hotel it’s just like the real thing the tour guide was a proud man proud of his people’s history and the beautiful island he was so great! He made us think made us laugh and allowed us to really experience Puerto Rico. We had lunch in some small family restaurant in the Rain forest the food wad great the show was awesome (you’ll see the show when you go ps what do you think about the dog on the roof) Thank you Marriott San Juan Thank you Priceline. Budget please get it together!
Oh yeah were 33 years old saved don't drink, smoke or gamable and had a blast oh sorry so much but go see the Old San Juan Fort.

“amazing in everyway”

My friend and I, very much in need of a vacation from NYC, booked a trip to San Juan. We chose the Marriott due to all the amazing reviews despite the more expensive price compared to other places on the condado strip. The Marriott exceded out expectations. In everyway.

Our flight arrived at 10 am, and even though check in wasn't until 4pm, Juan at the front desk did everything he could to get us in early and had our room ready within 30 minutes.

We walked into the room to see the most amazing view of the atlantic. The room was super clean, the bed super comfortable and the balcony had super comfortable chairs outside.

About 10 minutes later, the Bell man Gabriel brought our luggage up and offfered to get us ice and asked if we needed anything from the vending machine. Wow

The concierge Nancy went above and beyond to answer my 105 questions with knowledge and smiles the entire time.

Emuanel at the bell stand got out taxi and reccommended the best hole in the wall place to eat in Old San Juan. So good.

I could not reccommend this place more. Everything was amazing. It surpassed my hopes.

This hotel was excellent. The service was outstanding. I have been traveling often for the last 10 years and this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The taxi ride cost $18 from the airport and $18 more to get to the cruise ports. The best part of all, the rooms were clean, which you can't alway say for the hotels in San Juan. There are several small restaurants across the street. We ate at the Piu Bella for breakfast and it was very good and only cost $5. They also have the world's best gelato, made there. Walgreen's is one block away.
