My husband and I came to Puerto Rico for our 1st anniversary/my birthday and are so glad that we stayed at this guest house. The owners were on vacation at the time but we had Gloria (we love u!) and Javier to help us throughout our stay. They were both so welcoming and helped us out with everything we needed (hairdryer and iron/ironing board too!), someone was always around from 9am to 11pm. There was parking space for our hired car which we had for the first few days, in front on the guest house (first come first served basis), the beach is within walking distance, there are shops (Walgreen's for everyday stuff) and places to grab a bite close by (went to Pinky's a few times), the rooms are slightly worn but they are clean (cleaned daily) and we were given fresh towels every day. There is free internet access by the front desk also. Its a short ride to Old San Juan, the airport and Escambron beach which is ok for snorkeling. The guest house is cosy, located in an area which feels quite safe, but what made our stay here extra special were the people who were so friendly and helpful! A & V

“Already Planning My Next Stay At Andalucia!!”

Andalucia Guest House

My best friend and I (we are both in our late 20's) stayed here from July 1-5 and we already wish we were back. The owners are wonderful and really go out of their way to make their guest feel welcome. It's as if you're staying with old friends. The room itself was very cozy. You have to remember that this is not a 4 star resort so there were some areas (the bed sheets had some spots, the bathroom is old...) that weren't up to my 4 star standards but overall I was beyond satisfied. The maid does a wonderful job of keeping the room clean daily (be sure to leave her a good tip) and you can't beat the location-about a two minute walk to the beach, and right around the corner from Walgreens, McDonalds, local restaurants/delis, and a bus stop.

Don't hesitate to stay at Andalucia, it's the absolute best!!

(Just a note-be prepared to spend about $17.50 on a taxi plus $1 for each luggage one way to and from the airport. This may change depending on the driver. Also, if you plan to go out at night to the clubs, casinos or Old San Juan, the taxi cost about $15-$17 one way.-a cheaper option would be to take the bus since it cost just .75 cents but the wait for the bus can be long (usually over 30 minutes) and they stop running at 9 p.m.)

“Excited to return, an amazing stay!”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Andalucia Guest House in Puerto Rico of February 2008. We had very close access to the beach (2 minute walk) which was quite nice, and right across the street a block or two down was a great cafeteria-style place to get breakfast, lunch, dessert, even dinner. We went there for breakfast every day!

Our hotel was the perfect location. We were a short drive from Old San Juan, and not too far from places like Luquillo, el Yunque Rainforest, Fajardo for the Bioluminescent Bay, and of course the ferry to Culebra Island. We had an unbelievable time.

Esteban, Emeo, and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful for when we had questions, even when we were renting a car. They also provided us beach towels. They made great recommendations for excursions, restaurants, and activities. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without them!

We enjoyed the jacuzzi. Our room was pretty small, but there are other size rooms available. It did not matter to us since we spent little time there. Everything was very clean and well-kept. I loved the atmosphere, a very tropical feel to it!

Without hesitation I would return to Andalucia Guest House.

“dissapointed”

Andalucia Guest House

Jun 30, 2008

I was truely dissapointed with this stay. I read great reveiws on trip advisor, and thought this was going to be a wonderful little place. We stayed at Da House before leaving for a cruise from Old San Juan, and at this guest house post-cruise. Da House was cheaper, cleaner and in a much better location. We did enjoy being able to borrow boogie boards and walk to a free beach. We did not enjoy the ants and other critters in our room, or the fact that on a hot night our "air-conditioner" did not provide much relief. The location also was not great. We wanted a more Puerto Rican experience; however, there were very few people who spoke english in the area, most restaurants were closed (it was a sunday), and the area felt a little unsafe. we ended up having to order pizza for supper, and we were really looking forward to one last carribean meal before heading home. We did really like the cafe down the street tho, so if you go here dispite this review, at least go to Bebos.
