Ok I work for a very respected and trusted wholesale tour operator. I was in this getaway with my family wife and two kids ages 4 yrs and 5 months . Hotel is in the middle of everything and very close to everything, nice in my room was not bad. Check in what ever, They have giving me a rate with taxes and when i got their they said plus tax no big deal. With out asking for anything they give three margaritas, three caffes, comp. that was nice. The thing I did not like is if the hotel parking lot is full they make you take your car to a storge parking they have again. Not that big of a deal they try to pick you up on a golf cart. The rooms are great, not fancy decor more like an hacienda decor nice brite paints, AC work good room water pressure in the room is very good better than my own house. The pool not the best but they have one, and kids like my did 4 yr did. Bed are a little hard but you do sleep good.What this is not your home and you only par $40 to $100 per night. Over all this hotel is very good for the buck. And once again this is my opinion that dosent mean this will be yours to. If you read this review have fun this is Ensenada dont worry is the bed is to hard, and by the way if you live in Beverley hills what are you doing in this hotel should you bee in an ultimate Luxury Hotel. Give it a try and dont compare to other hotels you have been too that where better! trust me.

We stayed at Casa Del Sol over the memorial day weekend. We paid about $70/night. (I think they jacked up the prices a bit because of the holiday, normally I think they charge less). The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was PERFECT! But there was a big noise problem. First off the walls of our room were paper thin, and so were the windows. We could hear the couple next door fighting all night, and we could hear the people on the other side of us blasting their TV untill past 3:00 in the morning. The hotel is also right on the main street so we heard a lot of music and bass bumping all night long as well. There was a motorcycle gang in front of the hotel that kept their engines running all morning so that was really annoying and LOUD as well. The beds also kept us up all night because they are EXTREMELY hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were the worst. Bring your own pillow if you want to make the stay a little more comfortable. I can't complain too much because the room wasn't that expensive. Overall, the hotel was better than I expected. The churros they sell right by the hotel are the best and everything in downtown Ensenada is within walking distance. My husband and I had a blast during our trip, but we would hesitate to stay at this uncomfortable and noisy hotel again. We reccomend you visit Bufadora (The blow hole) on your trip to Ensenada, it's 17 miles south of Ensenada. It is beautiful and has fun shopping! :)

Casa del Sol was a perfect fit for us. It is small, not fancy but comfortable. The bed itself was no so comfortable, it was hard but very big. The perks are super though. Attached to the hotel are a spa and great little coffee shop. I had a lovely facial (for 32.00 US) and felt so relaxed. The hotel is right off the main drag but not too close to all the bars and partiers, so you can get some peace if you'd like to. We will be sure to go again.

This place is an incredible value. Our plan was to drive from SD to Ensendada, spend one night - then visit the Guadalupe Valley wineries spending the next night in Tecate. We (three of us) were looking for something quiet, clean and inexpensive. It is all those things - plus it is very pretty. The grounds are very well maintained, as are the rooms. In the US, the rooms would be in the $100-150 range for something of this quality. We read about it in the Trip Advisor. The other reviews are absolutely correct. If you are looking for value, this is the place.
(In Tecate, we stayed in a dump for the same price.)
