“Fun and comfort at the Casabuena”

Casabuena Bed and Breakfast

We have just returned from a stay at Casabuena Bed and Breakfast Inn in La Paz. I had a geat time, as did my husband and 15 year old son. It was our first trip to La Paz and the owners, Milton and Sue made us feel so at home and are very accomodating. I had stayed in B & B's a long time ago but always felt a lack of privacy and not very comfortable. This was the opposite. The grounds are large enough you can retreat to your room with patio if you want some quiet time. But when you want to socialize the friendly folks from other places along with owners and staff are in and out of the central palapa. I enjoyed excellent coffee and conversation in the mornings with our serve yourself breakfast. There was always fresh fruit, cereals, home baked goodies awaiting. My son felt connected to his teenage world back home on their computer in the palapa, and enjoyed the t.v. availability. He enjoyed playing with the dogs, especially Cracker. On the day we went to beautiful Balandra Beach he stepped on a stingray; they were most helpful in getting him the medical attention he needed. Casabuena is close enough that we walked to the Malecon often during the Carnival for the parades. Milton let us borrow bicycles and we had fun exploring around town that way too. We hope to return there another time and take some friends with us!

We loved Casabuena! It was our first trip to Mexico, we were a little nervous about safety but when we got here we felt incredibly safe. There are large walls around the property with a heavy gate and door at the entrance. The gate and door were secured at night so you could only get in with a key. The owners were very kind and warm. Milton even helped me fix my slow laptop. The breakfast was awesome fresh fruit and the best coffee cake I’ve ever had. The rooms were large and really well decorated. The grounds were gorgeous I loved all the plants and the little bunny. Milton and Susu are from the u.s. so they speak English as well as Spanish they are great if you speak either! We are so glad we stayed here it was the icing on our amazing vacation!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was our first time in La Paz, and we found the best. Casabuena is convenient, clean, peaceful, and it felt like home away from home. Milton( the owner) was so helpful in directing us to anywhere we needed to go and helping us to book a day trip. Breakfast was always fresh, and very yummy. I have no complaints. We will definately return and bring our kids with us this time.

“Casabuena -- None Better”

My husband and I travel extensively and stay at B & Bs around the world. In La Paz, perhaps all of Baja, there is no better place to stay than Casabuena. In addition to being affordable, Casabuena hosts/owners SuSu and Milton surpass expectations. When my husband had to spend a night in the hospital, Milton stayed with me until one in the morning, and left only when I absolutely insisted he get some sleep. The next morning, without my calling, he returned to the hospital to provide transportation and translation from Spanish to English. Casabuena is unique in that it was built as a private residence, so the gated walls provide security (not really an issue in La Paz) and off-street parking (a big plus). I cannot imagine anything being asked of SuSu or Milton that they could not accommodate. The friendly menagerie of dogs and cats adds to the family atmosphere and the on-site pool is a major asset in the hot climate. Do yourself a favor -- DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!

“Casa Buena- no just good, the best”

Casabuena Bed and Breakfast

My wife and I spent 3 nights with our 2 year old at the Casa Buena in La Paz. This is one of the best valued places that I have stayed. Great atmosphere for a family, couple, elderly. Easy access, large rooms, comfortable, and safe parking. The hosts are gracious, warm, and helpful- Milton helped us organize a sea kayaking/snorkeling adventure to Isla Espiritu Santo, Susu cooks a fantastic breakfast and there daughter, Michelle is a lot of fun. We'll be back. Thanks!
