We have just returned from a stay at Casabuena Bed and Breakfast Inn in La Paz. I had a geat time, as did my husband and 15 year old son. It was our first trip to La Paz and the owners, Milton and Sue made us feel so at home and are very accomodating. I had stayed in B & B's a long time ago but always felt a lack of privacy and not very comfortable. This was the opposite. The grounds are large enough you can retreat to your room with patio if you want some quiet time. But when you want to socialize the friendly folks from other places along with owners and staff are in and out of the central palapa. I enjoyed excellent coffee and conversation in the mornings with our serve yourself breakfast. There was always fresh fruit, cereals, home baked goodies awaiting. My son felt connected to his teenage world back home on their computer in the palapa, and enjoyed the t.v. availability. He enjoyed playing with the dogs, especially Cracker. On the day we went to beautiful Balandra Beach he stepped on a stingray; they were most helpful in getting him the medical attention he needed. Casabuena is close enough that we walked to the Malecon often during the Carnival for the parades. Milton let us borrow bicycles and we had fun exploring around town that way too. We hope to return there another time and take some friends with us!
