This is an OK hotel if you are staying for a few days; however, I cannot recommend it for longer stays. I have visited Monterrey/Apodaca Mexico a total of 12 weeks in 2004/2005. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts by my company, I was forced to stay here for two weeks. Breakfast at the hotel is continental-style. No restaurant. There are 5 great restaurants within walking distance and a 7-11 convenience store too. Some restaurants allow you to charge your meal to the room. Refrigerator available if requested, but not a microwave. Phone calls to the US are $3 per minute. EXTREMELY small rooms, about 11x12 (132 sq.ft.). Hardly enough room to turn around. This room will remind you of a college dormitory. Average bathroom with shower, no tub. Comfortable bed. Small desk and chair. Tiny 19" TV, 8 channels in Spanish and 8 in English. Windows do not open, very stuffy in room. Front desk staff very helpful and speak pretty good English. Free shuttle service to/from locations within about 5-7 miles including Escobedo Airport. Reliable and fast wireless internet. If you spend any daytime hours in the room, you will find the housekeeping to be irritatingly noisy. Seems like they open and close all the doors on the floor 10 times each. Oversized AC made it difficult to regulate room temperature. Overall, this would be a great value for a day or two. Any longer than that, you might try somewhere else. I have also posted reviews for two other hotels here, Courtyard Marriott and Best Western.
